I had great fun on my first ever opportunity as a Young Ambassador!
Visiting the Royal Courts of Justice for the day was totally refreshing, new experience which I had never under taken before. Swale Young People gave fantastic support in helping me gain impeccable knowledge and planning the trip. When I first got there dressed in my smart attire I was confident, ready to meet new people, see what was up for grabs and see where this experience could lead me.
Learning about the seriousness of sentencing and youths was definitely useful for my future, where I wish to study law. As I’ve already sparked interested in my earlier years at school, I’ll definitely be taking any opportunity again to be apart of something so great.
The environment was vibrant and the court itself was great, I would have loved to spent longer getting to know the place. Everyone was so friendly and had the same mindset as me so it was great to know people’s opinions and get a rough idea myself if this was the area I’d want to go into.
Swale Young People are great for organising opportunities and events for young people who are craving opportunity, especially their thoughtfulness on expenses for motivated individuals who strive for experience but can’t afford it. I’m most certainly looking forward to what the future brings both with young people and the field of law.

The event Ellie attended was organised by the Sentencing Council and ConsultGov. Swale Young People would like to thank the respective organisations, Jack and Ayath for allowing Ellie to come along.
"I first met Ellie about becoming a Young Ambassador in Starbucks after she was unsure about becoming a Young Ambassador. I learnt that she was interested in Law – so Swale Young People found her an opportunity in Law.” – Patrick Cantellow, CEO & Founder
