Swale Young People and Youth Employment UK can announce today that Patrick Cantellow, CEO of Swale Young People CIC and proud Ambassador for Youth Employment UK, has been chosen to attend the 3rd European Congress of Local Governments, taking place in Krakow, Poland.
After taking part in the competition to find the young delegate to attend, Patrick was chosen as he was able to demonstrate his passion for youth employment in Swale through a video which included interviews from Gordon Henderson MP and Cllr Andrew Bowles, leader of Swale Borough Council.
Laura-Jane Rawlings, CEO Youth Employment UK said: “Patrick’s entry stood out from others as it really showed his passion and enthusiasm for youth employment. As a Youth Employment UK Ambassador and through his work with Swale Young People Patrick continues to impress as a champion for social action and a role model for young people.”
Patrick said: “I can’t thank Youth Employment UK enough for allowing me to access this opportunity with them. I’m always out and about at local events and in Parliament speaking about youth employment and now I can add Poland to that list. I’m astounded that my volunteering has opened this up for me.”
The congress runs from the 27th-28th March 2017 and is a meeting platform for local leaders and regional elites to exchange views with public administration, NGOs and businesses.
